Theatre Company Pinklec is a theatre for children and youth and it acts at Čakovec Cultural Center since 1987. It’s founder and artistic director is Romano Bogdan.
Theatre Company Pinklec offers theatre plays designated to children and young people up to 18 years of age and it tries to talk about topics from everyday life, but also about amazing and mythological world, which is essential for our children so they can find a peaceful part of childhood in theatre aesthetic. Through communicating with the play and experiencing it, children form their creativity and imagination and interact mutually, generationally and with adults too.
We pick Croatian and worldwide authors who honestly and bravely talk about problems of children and young people in their works and through excellent directing techniques we take care of artistic criteria which are extremely important for young audience. We keep in mind that theatre raises children by its aesthetic. We want to arouse the need of society for theatre, just like children have the need for warmth, kindness, acceptance and conversation. We want every child’s future to have a memory of some theatre story that formed their aesthetic by its magic.
Theatre Company Pinklec is a member of professional theatre associations: UNIMA (The Worldwide Puppetry Organisation), ASSITEJ (International association of theaters for children and young people).
